From the articles covering this, there was very little on facts and a lot on speculation and opinion. Have you got a link to the article? I suspect it could be propaganda coming out of China to keep prices down so they could buy on the cheap. At drill sample stage and that depth I'd be at least a decade before they could begin extracting any metal, in the meantime inflation will have done it's scorched earth economy.
