Owning a car is expensive. My insurance alone this year is $2400/year on my 2012 Nissan EV. From 2005 to 2020 I never owned a car but joined a Car sharing cooperative for almost 15 years saving thousands of $$$ that I used to pay down my home mortgage ahead of the mortgage maturity date. Big savings.
