I would agree, the past remains the past yet it is the basis for how we face an unknown future. Being a practical person I would be very concerned what kind of future my children and descendants face, likely heading towards a dystopian or a freedom respecting culture. I would array my resources and efforts to a freer world and unmask those who want to enslave humanity behind a facade of contrived social laws.
