The house belongs to me, so whatever money I put in the house is not a waste, and I will not regret it.

Exactly how I feel. My Bank is no longer has a stake in my home, the mortgage is fully paid. To the bank it is an investment, to me it is a home to me and my family! Besides, in doing my own repairs and any remodeling it's my opportunity to learn some skills.
