I do like Litecoin next to Bitcoin, my portfolio consists 75% of the oldest alts BTC, LTC, ETH and even Dogecoin outside of Hive. I have used LTC as my real world currency in buying hard assets and collectables, I even spent some on Splinterlands packs. Very practical crypto. Fast and low Transaction cost.
