I own my own home and there is often important maintenance to perform a reasonable upkeep. I learned to perform some repairs to save myself the cost of a trades person but there will be times such issues are too difficult to do alone. Major water drainage and proper runoff is a lot of effort and knowledge, I hope your family organize and fix this problem before it gets into the wet season.
I find these as opportunity to learn a new skill too.🛠
