IMO remakes are being made because people are buying them. When we were kids, we enjoyed many of these games but we might have pirated it or borrowed a copy from our friends. Now that we are adults, these childhood games of ours become nostalgic - we'd gladly pay for them! It's kinda sad that every company is milking these remakes and remasters, but at the same time, I can't blame them - people are enjoying them.
