To me, nothing is Black or White

I like where you're going in analyzing what people declare about things. I think everything falls in a probability range between 0 and 1 exclusive of the endpoints. I try to be careful to say that claim X is Not definitely wrong, or def right. It is rare to have all the data to make an absolute choice; there's those black swans.

People could claim something and just be wrong, for any number of reasons. And 2 different people could experience the exact same thing and make differing claims about it.

Nature and Nurture affect what you Perceive and Believe

I think a lot of the variety comes from the fact that every person has a different Nature and Nurture. They have different brains and sensory ability based on genetics and epigenetics which is the Nature part. Then of course they have different life experiences which is the Nurture part.

You used the word "testimony" in here, and one of the definitions of that word relates to religious belief. It is interesting that you can tell a lot about a person's religious belief and political leanings based on their personality and life experiences.

For example, here's a cool video explaining what a person thinks of God and religion, based on that type of person they are and what traits they have.

By the way, I think Britt's YouTube channel is full of helpful videos for people who want to understand Theology in general, from a psychological and sociological viewpoint. I have subscribed!

Another person who talks about how a person's traits can predict their leanings especially in Politics is Jonathan Haidt. For example, he

argues that moral judgments arise not from logical reason, but from gut feelings, asserting that liberals, conservatives, and libertarians have different intuitions about right and wrong

Then the question comes up as to whether personality causes ideologies or just correlates with them. This is a good paper on that, from a US gov website.

The conclusion is

the primary connection between personality traits and political ideology rests on common genetic precursors of each

So again, your Nature is related to your thinking.
