I'm still feeling happy today about my ability to singlehandedly beat 2 guys, and by such a wide margin. :D
Prospectors has a YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJ07CHIqC2LBS3al0G7s0dA
They have an 8 part video tutorial which is pretty good. Their trailer from last year when they were still in early beta is very well done too:
The game has potential because there is what seems to be a sustainable economy where jobs are available and items can be created and sold. You earn the in-game Gold which can be converted and withdrawn to PGL right in the Account tab, which can be easily converted to #EOS on the NewDex exchange.
You do need an EOS account which can be made with some effort for free, or purchased as I mentioned in a previous post. Then you need the Scatter wallet and key manager to sign in, as well as signing in via Google or Facebook likely to avoid one person having many Prospector accounts.
Once you are in, if you want to play without investing money, you can start with no gold or resources by hitting J and grabbing the best Job currently available for each of your 3 workers. The best job will depend on how much gold it pays and when you can look in on the game again. For example, a job may pay 10 gold for 10 minute's work while another job may pay 20 gold for a hour's work. If you can check back in 10 minutes, the first is the "best" job, but if you can't check back for an hour then the second is best. When you do check back in, you'll be able to hit J again and send any resting workers back to work at another Job.
With no tools, you can only do transport jobs. The jobs with tools pay better. You can buy tools in game from other players, or you can manufacture them from resources you can mine from plots of land that are not rented to others. It takes time to make the tools but once you have them, the pay for jobs you can then get more than compensates the extra time to make the tools, in my experience.
By the way, there was a "big bug" in the game yesterday that people were talking about in the in-game chat. So any issues you had yesterday may have been due to that. Everything is working well for me today, so i think things are fixed.
Any other questions, I'll be happy to try to answer, here or by phone, email, text, etc.
Lastly, when I heard "dazed and confused" I think of the Led Zep version of that song! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazed_and_Confused_(song)
If you or your wife are fans of that song, I think it's worth hearing the Yardbirds version. featuring the same guitarist, Jimmy Page, before the Yardbirds fell apart and morphed into Led Zep. Page uses a bow on his guitar and then displays the foundations of the later guitar solo in the Led Zep version. Pretty cool, in my opinion!
