Hello, it's another three-tunes day!

_{For the record, #ttt (Three Tunes Tuesday) is an ongoing initiative which is organised by @ablaze for all music lovers. Catch the full gist about that HERE.}

In this edition of #ttt, I decided to dig into my playlist and randomly pick any 3 songs that catch my fancy. There are no criteria for selecting these. Hehe. It's just a bunch of random tunes from my playlist.

1. Family Affair by Mary J. Blige

Mary J. Blige is one of those artists that had a tough childhood, a tough teenage experience and also a tough adulthood. I stumbled upon her backstory a few years after listening to one of her songs and I've been a big fan of hers since then.

This particular song, Family Affair, was released in 2001. It's a perfect song to vibe to while clubbing on Friday nights. Interestingly, I'm not a big fan of clubbing, yet I love to have this song buzz in my earphones. Hehe. It makes me feel alive and I love it.

2. Happy by Pharrell Williams

I can still recall my days at University. This exact song was like an anthem in my room during my freshman year at University. We always have it playing out loud. The buzz was insane. Hehe.

"Because I'm happy"

Have you listened to the song already? The above chorus from the sound is a phrase I can never get tired of hearing. Who wouldn't want to be happy? I sure want as many of those as possible.

3. Miss Independent by Ne-Yo

If I'm not mistaken, I think this is the latest of all the selected tunes that made it to my playlist. I listened to a snippet of the song a few years ago on a radio program. It got me intrigued. I went digging and successfully added the song to my playlist. Interestingly, this is the only Ne-Yo song on my playlist.

I usually have a high rating for anyone that takes responsibility for their life. It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman... As far as you are old enough, you should have it in mind to put yourself in order and try as much as possible to pursue Independence to a great degree. This is partly what captivates me about this song. I just love it.
