To my eyes, they resemble orchids which my grandmother, Nanang Ely, used to propagate in many different varieties. I used to remember that they were sold with pricey tags. But when I visited Mountain Province, specifically the town of Bauko where I took this photo, I was mesmerized by the numerous count of this flower blooming anywhere else from roadsides to local houses' porches. The climate made its existence and abundance possible. Now, I have another reason to love the province more.
