The soonest the farm's caretaker poured in water in their troughs, cows came rushing to its direction, all thirsty and hungry. The lack of nourishment of the farm's soil due to extreme dryness made the propagation of plants and greeneries impossible. My parents had to employ people to harvest dry stalks of corn from neighboring barangay of Lungog just to supply their staple food. Lack of rain doesn’t even help the dehydrated crops and fruit trees. So investing on water pumps costed us thousands of pesos to make irrigation possible.
