This is what Louisians anticipate yearly with long and grueling preparations. Now that first semester is moved to start at August, a taste of the yearly ritual is a good start to freshmen. It is part of the University's celebration of Foundation Day. Other events include the highly-waited Lantern Parade which makes good impact and impressions nationwide. Before the semester ends and pack their baggages back to their hometowns, a date with their friends/classmates or crush is what keeps every Louisian do to experience the spirit of Christmas in a different way. Every year, different schools take charge over the design and lighting preparations of the Christmas tree. I'm not sure with exact height of the tree but I do know it is as high as my building's, thr Rizal Building, 4th floor. Surely, Christmas with schoolmates in a university we consider as home maybe different with Christmas spent with family but it is full of excitement and laughters and cheers. Starting the ceremony at 6 pm in the night of 30th of November, it is filled with Christmas carols performed by the one and only, SLU Glee Club.
I miss St. Louis University but who knows, I might be back to take Medicine in there 馃槈
