Veews is a wicked awesome idea, and it really makes me miss the good'ol days of the internet sometimes, back when I was stumbling upon new websites and interesting new ideas that I had never heard of before. Then eCommerce came along and the rest is history.
Marketing our apps are the toughest thing in the world to do, especially when so many devs are not marketers, and vice versa. We need to join those two forces in some way.
One thing that I've learned is that if the app isn't "grandma friendly" as I always say, and use proper complementary colors in the right places, stick to rule of thirds on images, etc then the "masses" don't get that little shot of [whatever it's called] that makes them want to click in to the site or app any further. Might be a good idea to just copy stumbleupon.com for the Veews ui/ux and see what happens. D.buzz has done that too and it makes it a lot easier to coax twitter people over.
Anyway, I feel ya on the marketing thing. We have the people here in the community to kick serious stumbleupon/twitter/youtube butt.
