Oh no! The warnings were right there in front of the hunter yet his desperation to provide for his family kept pushing him until he reached a point of no return. Is there room for grace though? I wonder. Would the unicorn's mother be willing to consider the hunter's circumstances and perhaps take away his pain? Then again, if she did, would that change the hunter's superstition that unicorns aren't real?
This was such a captivating read. The way you took what sounds like an old fairytale and turned it into something hauntingly real is remarkable. I love your description of the young unicorn. She appears as such a beautiful, proud and admirable creature. I've come to take a special liking to the short stories that often accompany your alien artworks. And this artwork beautifully captures the heart of your story. Well done! 🌹
