Oh, I was feeling Mitchell's pain through this story! You built up the tension so well I wished I could put the ambassador in his place. Mitchell is admirable for having the courage to set aside his discomfort to attend to someone who needed his help. Good thing Mrs Archdavy stepped in to defend him before the ambassador could say anything. Sometimes kindness matters more than obedience. Tense and heartwarming, I enjoyed your story.
