I see this story has moved beyond a mystery about poisoned petunias and is now about Preston's blossoming ego! This chapter is enlightening and answers some of my questions. Beverly's prank has opened a can of worms that dates back fifteen years. Good thing she's no longer standing on the sidelines and has decided to take charge. Either this or lose her vacation money to Preston.
And Preston! You'd think he was simply overzealous about HOA matters, not knowing the petunias are merely an excuse for his power struggle all because Beverly said no, fueling his resentment. Whatever is on "page seventy-five", I have a feeling Preston is about to discover that she is not someone he should have underestimated. The tension is real and I look forward to the next chapter. Well done! 🌹
