There are really people who set timelines for themselves like what age they want to get married, when they want to have children, and what they want their life to look like by a certain age.
I remember having a colleague who actually had a very clear timeline for her life. One of the things on her list was that by the age of 30, she wanted to have her own family and her own home. She was really disciplined when it came to saving money. She made sure not to spend more than what she had budgeted, and she actually achieved her goal. By the time she turned 30, she had her own house and was living there with the family she had built.
I don’t know what it is about attending weddings, but they can really make you emotional. I’m like that too, I sometimes end up crying when I attend a wedding. Maybe there’s just something about seeing two people finally reach such a meaningful milestone in their lives.
Your friend really did achieve the goal she had set for herself, getting married at the age she wanted.
