Hey Hivers!
Three days ago, I went to Bamboo Forest in Medellin Cebu. As I went back to my temporary home, I came across this romantic and a unique design of a restaurant. Since curiosity drove me, I alighted from the tricycle where I rode. I inquired inside if I could dine in but unfortunately the employees were still busy to their Sunday service at church. This restaurant is owned and operated by a non-catholic church organization called Balay Kahayag. I was advised to come back by 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon if I would like to try their foods because they could not cater me the time I went there. Everybody was in Church. By the way, the church is located meters away from The Tree House. That is the name of the restaurant.
Since I like the place the first time I saw it of course I came back. I just rode a tricycle from the place where I stay going to the tree house. No customers was around as I arrived. It was too quite. The staff handed to me the menu as I informed her that I will be dining in.
Since they have lot of options in their menu from foods to beverages I have found difficulty in choosing what food to order.
I ended up ordering chicken barbeque; carrot shake; and buko halo-halo.
I know some of you don't like the taste of carrot shake but for me I can tolerate the taste. I used to eat raw carrots and I liked it.
While I was taking photo of my food, I was able to smell the aroma of the chicken barbeque. The smell was so good so I just quickly took photo and immediately ate it. It was absolutely a mouthwatering food.
After I had my main course, the waitress served to me the buko halo-halo. I never thought that they will serve it with the coconut shell, I thought they will just put it in a halo-halo glass. Actually, I like the presentation.
Do you know what? When I eat halo-halo I don't mix the ice cream on it, I will just eat it without mixing it in halo-halo ingredients. How about you?
After I ate the ice cream, I scraped the coconut meat using my spoon. Glad, I made it. The young coconut meat tastes delicious. It was really fresh.
This is the photo of the tree house. The view from the entrance looks wonderful. The place was tidy and tranquil.
This is the closer photo of the restaurant. I find the place romantic.
Of course, you have the liberty to choose in which area would you like to dine.
Since I really like the design of the restaurant and I also like the vibe, I asked the waitress to took me a photo. Here's my souvenir.
Overall, I like the taste of the foods and the structure of the restaurant. The design was rare.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
