A few days ago, we checked our garden and realized that we already had vegetables ready to harvest! They grew so quickly, probably because it had been raining for the past few days. We decided to harvest them right away instead of waiting until the next day, especially since we were running low on supplies in our kitchen. That's one of the best things about gardening, you can simply step into your garden and pick fresh vegetables whenever you need them. It's so convenient and fulfilling to have your own little source of fresh produce!
The first vegetable we harvested was pak choi! We love sautéing it with fried fish, or adding it to pork soup. Pak choi is one of our favorite vegetables, so we always make sure to have some growing in our garden. That way, whenever we feel like eating it, we can simply pick some fresh from the garden.
Next, we harvested the bell peppers. We picked the ones that were almost ripe so we could use them in our dish. Bell peppers are delicious and add so much flavor to different dishes. They're also rich in vitamin C, which is another reason why we love adding them to our cooking.
Next, we harvested some eggplants. We don't have as many as before because some of our eggplant plants died. However, we've already planted new ones, but they haven't started producing fruit yet. At least we have something to look forward to! Hopefully, they'll grow healthy and produce plenty of eggplants soon.
After harvesting the eggplants, we also picked some long chili peppers. The plants still have plenty of fruits, but this time, the peppers are smaller than those from our first harvest. Still, that's perfectly fine!
Finally, we finished harvesting the fresh produce from our little garden. Our harvest may not be that big, but at least we have fresh vegetables to use for our daily meals. It's such a rewarding feeling to enjoy the fruits of our labor and have homegrown produce readily available in our kitchen!
