I didn't mind the rain as I worked on my laptop. Then, as lunchtime drew near, the rain stopped. So I took my chance for fresh air and exercise.

Up Lanes and Paths

It felt good to get outside. And, undaunted by the steep hill, I looked forward to the fine views from the top.

Making my way up the first three lanes, I felt lucky with my timing. Because, though far from a sunny day, the weather was dry, and the trees had stopped dripping.

Soon, civilization gave way to a footpath. Nice country, but still steep.

Are We Nearly There Yet?

Moving back to civilization, I thought I felt the start of more rain. But I was distracted by thoughts of what view could be seen from this balcony.

At last, I reached the top. Though not yet the viewpoint I set out for.

Should I Shelter?

Then I wondered if I should take shelter with a pint. But I hadn't really earned it.

But with the rain worsening. And the views getting lost in the weather. I asked myself if the climb up the hill was worth it?
