Hey friends, I had some time to visit the park today and I managed to get a few new bird photos. I'd like to share some of the highlights with you.
Above: Without a doubt the star attraction today was this beautiful gosling. I got down as low as I could and used the flip-out screen on my camera to get this shot.
I made a gif from several shots of another gosling. Mama Canada Goose was standing nearby hissing at me while I took these shots.
I tried my best to capture some ducks in flight but the best I could manage was this male Mallard making a landing on the pond.
There were plenty of crows around and this one posed for me on a low-hanging branch.
Down by the shore, I got a nice shot of a great blue heron. The trees were full of herons nesting and the noise they made was amazing but there were very few of them in-flight and I mostly knew they were there because of the sound.
Once again I staked out the eagle's nest for a while but I only got one shot. I think there must be eggs in the nest or possibly they've hatched at this point.
Finally, on my walk home I saw a seagull, an owl and a hummingbird together. I think they were having a birthday party or something... True story. I hope you enjoyed these photos!
