I haven't been able to post for a couple of days since our home internet's data capped and unluckily, we are only able to add a maximum of 20gb a month which will cost us for another Php498! And not to mention our base plan costs Php1699. 馃槺馃槺馃槶馃槶 You guys might be wondering why we keep this kind of internet connection and not just apply for unlimited data plans on DSL. But welp, too bad DSL isn't available on our area - I mean its literally available however there are no more "slots"for new installations and we will need another 10 people to register for the company just for us to be able to get DSL at home. 馃槾 Right, enough ranting and back to my post.
So I tried making soap!
Soap making is an incredibly fun thing to do, you can mix and match different scents and colors and basically do anything you want! My mom was making soaps last weekend and I wanted to try it out myself. Although I did tell her that I wanted to experiment on something so I did everything based on what I thought is right. I literally experimented. When I was a kid, I used to play with my mom's makeup and other stuff, mixing everything and pretend to be a scientist - I didn't really aspire of being one though I still love experimenting! 馃槅
Okay so I used 3 blocks of pure glycerin
Pure tomato juice - I just basically squeezed out everything from freshly picked tomatoes, and a silicon mold.
I chopped the glycerin blocks into cubes and placed it in a saucepan over very low heat. Then added the tomato juice.
I must have done something wrong because it formed a thick foam. My mom said it shouldn't be that way so I'm gonna go and research more about it soon.
After pouring it into the mold and had it dry for an hour or two, this is what I got as an end result:
So we scraped off the foamy part with a knife and this is what we got:
It's a so-so kind of soap though the ingredients are natural - the scent is a soft hint of glycerin because I didn't add anything else. It lathers very good and I think it passes as a good result for a first try. 馃槃
