El Parque Ecológico de Irapuato fue construido en 2001, cuando fue decretada la creación de un fondo para la realización de este espacio.
En 2005, el entonces gobernador Juan Carlos Romero Hicks decretó a creación del Área Natural Protegida del Cerro de Arandas, donde el Parque Ecológico de Irapuato sería el acceso hacia la misma.
Y así funcionó el Parque Ecológico de Irapuato, donde los boy scouts asistían y que poco a poco fue usado este espacio, aunque varias administraciones municipales no le dieron la importancia debida.
El Parque Ecológico de Irapuato cuenta con ocho hectáreas, donde hay un campo de futbol, skatepark y un vivero.
Este parque tiene spots muy dementes y alocados ya que son mucha velocidad y no se diga de los gigantescos verts.
Han sucedido varias competencias de bxm y skate a lo largo de todo este tiempo pero lo mas increíble de este parque es que fue patinado por el equipo de thrasher magazine, estas son algunas de las fotos que encontré. Aun patinaba Jake Phelps.
