Hello! It's 2018 already! And now this is the 8th update on my current manga. Since it has been quite the busy holiday, I'll postpone including the anime to next week. :3
Well, without further ado, here is my manga update for 2018:
1. Relife
After witnessing Hishiron thanking everyone, the girls were so moved that they hugged her and said, "Let's make more memories together." Of course, they won't be able to do that, but Hishiron answers yes anyway.
The group took a photo together by the board, as most people would. But the four who were part of the relife gradually faded from the photo. At first, I was wondering, why is Kaizaki standing in the middle? Wouldn't that leave a weird gap? I knew he was gonna disappear from the picture after all.
But when he faded away, what took his place were the words on the board that said "Thank you! Let's all meet again!" Of course that made me smile sadly. How could I not? * sniff *
Kaizaki and Hishiron go home together, but just before they leave through the gates. Hishiron bows in thanks to the school building, which prompts Kaizaki to do as well. Hishiron then asks him if she had managed to really change. Through their time together, Kaizaki had given so many advice to Hishiron, and as she recalls each of them, she tells them that she really tried her best to follow each one. After all that's said and done, of course Kaizaki said that she did work hard to get where she is now.
But the manga didn't end at that. Of course Yayoi-sensei had to put a dash of humour to the current sadness in the air. Just right after Kaizaki told her that, Hishiron pops him an out of the blue question.
Of course I know what she's talking about. ;> But we'll have to see next week, what exactly will happen. Looking forward to it now!

2. One Piece
In One Piece, Big Mama is on the ship! Red alert!
She is rampaging on it, in fact, damaging the ship. Carrot is also inside resting! They try to tell her that the cake isn't on the ship, but she says that her eldest son said it is there, so if he's lying then she'd have to kill him.
But the cake isn't really there, because it's on Bege's ship. Urghh. They keep trying to stop her, in fact, even she says that where would they hide such a big cake. The answer to that, Big Mama, is nowhere. They won't be able to hide it. Lol. But she can't stop rampaging of course. Eventually Jinbe manages to get her off the ship.
Right you are, Jinbe! They already lost Going Merry. Those were tearful chapters, please don't let them lose Thousand Sunny! As long as it's only merely damaged, I'm sure Frankie can fix it! Speaking of Frankie... Ahhhh. I really miss the rest of the crew. When we gonna get to them? :< I miss awesome Robin. :3
Now, back to the current happening, Mama is planning to cut the ship in half! Nooooooo! Nami tries to distract Zeus, the cloud on which Mama is standing, using her weapon which Zeus loved before, but to no avail. He won't fall for it again and hits nami with thunder. Or atleast he thought he hit nami, but it turns out, only Brook got hit, and he doesn't have any flesh, so it doesn't hurt him. And he challenges Big Mama, but suddenly says his usual "May I see your panties?" Lol. Brook??!
But it turns out that the real target was Zeus. Brook slashes him in half, and nami uses her weapon to make him discharge, thus causing Zeus to zap mama. Great teamplay, guys! :3
Jinbe is still musing about the ship's damage, while the others celebrate in the back. And it seems Zeus fell into their hands..
With Zeus out of the way, Mama is now on Prometheus chasing the ship again! More battling next week, I guess.

3. Shokugeki no Souma
The fourth bout is on over here. The top 2, tsukasa and rindou are preparing, while Erina vs Momo has started. Their theme is... Muscovado sugar! Yum! I like that. :3 ahh, but it's perfect for momo who's specialty is sweets. Then again, Erina's tongue is awesome, so... I'm sure she can win. :3 Gambatte ne!
Over on Momo's side, she is currently "painting". Using different ingredients, she has made colorful batter in different bowls. And now, she is drawing cute things at an incredible speed. Of course I understand it is not normal, since I have tried piping before, and well, let's just say, creating a decent drawing using it takes practice.
The judges mused that she must be making a roll cake with designs, but it seemed rather simplistic compared to her dish in the third bout, but then she started preparing amezaiku which apparently means solid sugar sculpture or craftwork. And not just normal amezaiku, but pulled candy style. It seems she's pretty adept at all these difficult techniques, but she's so big on cuteness, that it's not really surprising for me that she went to all lengths to master things like these. And also, looks like she's started piping some more, which is giving them the idea that she is planning to make a lot.
Tadokoro is worried about Erina, but Souma just offers her tea. Lol. Apparently, he is not worried, because something about her seems fierce. I'm sure she'll whip up something great!
This bout seems to be a fast-paced one, as Momo's dish is presented already and it is...
(So much cake talk in my manga right now. Lol.) The judges are entranced by the looks and the flavor, saying muscovado alone cannot produce it. And it turns out that the magic ingredient is soy sauce. Lol. I have no idea how that will play if I ever tried making something like this. XD
We also have a flashback of Momo's past, and it is... Interesting. Lol. She apparently has a talent for spotting cuteness since childhood and immediately became a cuteness guru.
Faced against Momo's castle of cuteness, what will Erina make?

4. Noblesse
Franky and the others are about to land now, but it seems they can't land normally, so Tao will be controlling the ship from afar. As Tao and Franky talk of this, Tao has an urgent thing to say:
And do you know what urgent thing he had to say? He asked for advanced pay. Hahaha. And it turns out the two nobles over in the house need money right now too. What did these people do? Lol. That question is answered right after. Giving gifts to ladies, and not knowing how to handle human money. Again, lol. And Franky then mentions to Tao that he knows Tao usually hacks into Franky's account to invest in things. Tao tries to feign communication static. Yet again, lol. These people..
Over on the island, it seems an explosion went off, which killed a lot of werewolves. While the first elder has now reached the throne of the werewolves, the place where the second elder's fortress once stood, but is now currently in shambles. As he sits there, the current two strongest warriors, Juraki and Dorant, suddenly attack him. Wow, they're fast. To get there from wherever they were before. They were just at the site of the explosion... But the third elder seems to be faster. I don't even know what he did, all I know is, he was able to protect the first elder. The two warriors ask who they are.
Of course the union would attack when the werewolves were at their weakest. But man, talk about doing a wipeout. I hope they survive. I hope these two are strong enough. Of course I'm sure Franky and Rai would join in eventually. Tsk.
I really don't get the third elder's powers. Something to do with explosions? And just with one look too. As the two warriors attack after seeing their comrades get exploded on, two others from the first elder's crew arrive, blocking the attack. They brought with them one dead warrior. Four more arrive, also bringing a warrior.
Apparently, this first elder's rage boils down from one point:
That is one creepy face. And actually, he has a point. The werewolves before were awful. The ones that the second elder led. But they have started to change... Still, I am not looking forward to seeing Rai having to salvage what is left of the werewolves. But of course, i hope they survive. All I can say is, the first elder's people are not normal. Not normal at all. Juraki and Dorant are powerful, but their bodies have not recovered enough from last time, and the enemies have the advantage in numbers as well. This is bad. Just as Juraki is about to be finished off, Lunark appears.
Lunark is powerful too, but can she handle these?

5. The Gamer
Continuing from what Yoohwa said last time about how the gamer was too bold to go into enemy base territory, Jihan answers her simply: "I'm confident we can escape." Lol.
He also mentions the first time seeing someone from the church of Masks not wearing a mask. These two appear to be having a sparky conversation. A power play, so to speak. XD Their looks seem like they're just chatting, but their words just bite at each other. Haha.
Eventually, Yoohwa turns her back and says that she'll let the gamer leave today, but next time, it won't end so easily. Jihan responds by asking why not end it now? She doesn't seem to budge, but when Jihan mentions Yoonhwan, her brother, it seems it hit a sore spot, and they are in an instant dungeon right away. Jihan continues by saying that even to murderers, their family matters. Yoohwa then responds that she will not show mercy anymore. Her mask materializes then and there. Pft. Guess she does have one. But what's up with the glasses still? I'm sure there's something to it.
Jihan starts combining spells and makes the space into his own. Yoohwa is impressed, but she then says that only stupid sorcerers would wander into places like their base, and Jihan is gonna be one of them. As she says this, other members of the church of masks materialize behind her. They seem to be surrounded. What is going on???

6. Haikyuu!!
It seems that Tanaka has asked Kageyama to lessen the tosses to him, because right now he is facing a great wall due to the excellent blocking of the other team.
Karasuno scores first after tying at 20, but after doing a timeout, Inari scores back right after. It's Osamu's serve now, and he is doing his usual gap time for serving. After they volley a bit, the twins feign a quick attack, letting Aran land a good hit. As the commentators talk of this, Tsukki is mentally saying he needs sugar. Haha. Well, he does.
As Inari continues to get points off them, eventually leading to just one point away with a 24-22 score, it seems that the other teams back home that Karasuno defeated are all tensed and cheering for them, "Try harder!". Now in this atmosphere, it flashes back to when Tanaka asked to get less tosses. They didn't really show Kageyama's answer but now, we find out:
That means we're gonna see a toss for Tanaka in the next chapter that will turn things around for them. Looking forward to it! They'll win for sure.

7. Chihayafuru
We see a flash into Taichi's mom's past where we get a glimpse of his father, who apparently is nothing like his mother. Lol. He's... I don't even know how to describe him. Let's just say, the two are like worlds different in personality. Taichi's mom is more aggressive. In fact, his father said that he doesn't know how to talk to Taichi, which is similar to what he said to Taichi's mom back when they were younger and in school. And we also find out Taichi's mom's philosophy when it comes to things:
After the flashback, we are back in the finals of Harada vs Taichi and Chihaya vs Midori.
Harada is good, as expected. And he notices the change in Taichi's style of karuta, and attributes it to Suou's influence. Like half playing and half observing detachedly. He asks Taichi is he knows what A card will be read next, to which he responds that he can. And others hear this and calls it a bluff. Lol. Harada however, remembers meeting Taichi when he was 12, just like how he himself started Karuta at 12.
This time it flashes back to Harada's past. Apparently he was invited by a friend and got hooked. Later in a tournament, met a deaf player who was good, but his handicap is having to look at the reader constantly so he can read his lips, so he doesn't have time to memorize card placements. He rushes over and tells the deaf guy to memorize the card placements and that he will just tap the guy when the reader is about to read.
Back to the game, Harada experiences the gap.
Eventually, Harada loses to Taichi and pats him on the back, telling him to love that desperation. Just then, they hear a thud as Chihaya falls back, totally asleep now. She won too. Well, I expected it anyway. After all, this is gonna a reunion. :3 though, I'm not liking my current projection of the events. In my projection, Taichi just might beat Arata, because the events seem to be leading up to that, and I don't want that. I want Arata to win, since I wanna see Arata as King, and Chihaya as Queen. :3
Well, next up is the East-West Challenger. Arata pls win! :3

8.Detective Conan
So, like I said before, I normally read Detective Conan by case. And after that trip to Kyoto where Ran and Shinichi finally formalized their relationship <3, the stage moves over back to the detective kids. Personally, I don't really like cases involving the kids, because usually, you already know who the culprit is. And also, given that the last chapter ended with people discussing Shinichi on the internet where the three Rum suspects find out. Basically, it has already pointed to their current teacher being the main one. Things are picking up, so moving over to the detective kids is... kinda pulling it. Oh well.
So now we have the disappearance of a child named Maria. And the kids trace her up to her grandma's house where they find arrows leading them. They solve all kinds of problems until they reach the bathroom where they are stumped with what to do about "Bado-chan", a weird toy with a beak. And they decide to call Conan despite Ai's unwillingness. And Conan gives them the tip that it is a drinking bird. Lol. Eventually, they reach a room where the pressure was so high inside that they had trouble opening the room. After pushing it until it opened, they found Maria asleep inside. The room was actually full of images and videos of Maria and her grandparents.
Meanwhile, Shinichi has traced the internet mayhem to a tweet, and found that the one who tweeted had a website that says "World's #1 Kudo Freak." It seems we have a Kudo family fanatic at hand. Oh boy. All kinds of media people are waiting outside his house, Hattori's school, and Shinichi's school. Lol. And right now, Ai and Hattori are completely annoyed at Shinichi. XD looks like the tweet was inspired by the live broadcast where Hattori and Kudo were filmed in the background. This is bad for all of them.
Eventually Hattori found a loophole by passing the guy they saw as Okita-kun who looks very similar to Kudo. Great thinking, guys! The person who first tweeted also sent over an apology saying it might have been a hallucination. So the media had started to thin out as everyone joined forces to make Kudo seem as if he didn't exist in that case. Ran however, begs to differ. XD
It turns out the Shinichi's parents were the one who convinced the girl who tweeted to pretend it never happened. Lol. Good thing she is a great fan of them all. Shinichi was bailed out of the loop publicly, but not in the eyes of the Black Organization. And now they have discovered the cipher they found before and the identity of the person Shinichi is up against: Karasuma Renya. This person seems to be a powerful multi-millionaire person in Japan. And now his parents are staying in Japan to think of a plan to help Shinichi. Maybe this manga is finally approaching its close. After 1000+ chapters. Lol. I'm excited :3

That has been it for my manga this week.
Next week, I will be adding anime. Probably give a summary of a few that I've finished just recently. I really wanna feature those :3 And will be adding some more.
