Hello! Recently, we got this update from Iris M and they added quite a few new features. :3
If you haven't heard of Iris M, consider checking out my previous review of this game.
And now, we have a summary of their current updates to the game:
Right now, I have reached lvl 51 in the game. This is after a month of playing.
It is to note that playing solo in this game can be difficult, since there are many dungeons you can only enter with a party. However, you can always use the world chat to find people to party with, as there will be many who are doing exactly that. It is a great advantage, of course, if you have a dedicated group of people to party with, since it is easier to clear dungeons faster or reach higher dungeon levels with a party you are familiar with. This is something you will quickly learn while playing the game.
Since right now, there are only two of us in our permanent party, myself as the mage, and the other being a warrior, we would do the Elite Dungeons by ourselves, but have to look for people in the world chat to party with us in order to get into the Chaos Dungeons. The Abyssal Dungeon we tend to do with just the two of us, and recently, we have finally gotten pass Lvl 60! We were very happy at the achievement of having our names announced in the World chat (your names get announced when you've completed dungeon levels starting lvl 60 and in increments of 5).
There's a lot of strategy involved in order for the two of us to breach that level. We can easily reach lvl 50 with no problem at all, even if we go afk, but around lvl 55, it starts getting tricky for us. So we are very hoping to find another good warrior and mage to party along with us.
If you play the game and want to join us, I'm KDee916 on the Theia server! :3
And now, let's get down to the update details:
1. Sealed Depths
In a nutshell, the Sealed Depths dungeon is pretty much like the Pet Dungeon, except you can only enter it as a party of atleast 5 members and a maximum of 8, starting lvl 45. The recommended CP is 28000, but just like the other dungeons, you can choose to enter it with a lower CP at your own risk, though.
If your character dies inside the dungeon, you cannot be resurrected, but the others still alive inside will just continue playing on until they finish the dungeon or until everyone is dead.
I say it is like the Pet Dungeon primarily because the line up of the 5 bosses are the same, just higher level.
I once entered it using random matching, and when the game started, I was dismayed to find that we had no warriors among us. There were 8 of us, mages and rangers, but with no one to tank, our numbers dwindled until I was the only one left alive for the last boss. I left the dungeon at that point because it was no longer worth the effort, since I was alone and already low on time.
Should you succeed to finish the dungeon, you can get charms, the highest of which being the Legendary Charm.
2. Fishing
Currently, they have 3 fishing locations found in Tainas, one of which is:
Note that all three of them surround the center area of Tainas.
The fishing rod and lures can be bought from the Merchant Kalph, the guy who sells potions.
There are two variants of fishing rods and 4 lures:
I tried fishing and when you attach the rod, it goes into one of your costume slots. You simply click the waters and it will prompt you to choose a lure if you have one. Otherwise, it will fish with none. Lures are one-time use. At first, I thought the rod was permanent, since it went to the costume slot, but I checked just now and found it to be gone from my costume slots. It seems it's only good for as long as you keep fishing. You keep fishing as long as you leave your character there, and every after waiting time, you'll possibly get an item or not, but it will keep fishing. Once you stop, the rod will disappear. This feature is probably for afk-ing. Good thing I didn't buy the one that cost gems, it would have been such a waste.
Anyway, I tried the Earthworm and Cheerful lures, and all I got were a can and fish bones, which together cost about 1500, or was it 2000? All I remember is that the fish bones were worth 500. So basically, the lures can earn you money, so buying them is not a waste since you will earn more than you spent for them. Haha. Otherwise, you can fish without a lure too.
3. Hidden Forest
Now to be honest, I'm really not into PK, so I've yet to try the Hidden Forest. But if you want to go there, in the top right of Tainas, you will find the portal to go there.
I only went in to take screenshots, but apparently, there are also monsters inside.
Notice that the map terrain is in the shape of a face. XD
And it is a party protected zone. So, you can't PK your own party member, lol. Others, however, you can, since that is the purpose of the place. :D So if you're into that, just head on over to the Hidden Forest.
4. Viewing Ads
Yes, it's exactly what it is. You know how other games do it, if you wanna earn some of those extra gems, you can either install some app or watch ads, right? Well, IrisM thought to add that here too, just the viewing ads part though.
You can find it in the main menu. It's that Free Option with the Gem icon:
It tried it once and it gave me 2 gems after an ad.
5. Mysterious Box
So, before, we had these Christmas gift boxes you can get for 2 snow globes. Well, now, it is a mysterious box for 5 banana peels. Apparently you can get banana peels from fishing using the Spooner lure.
I have yet to open one mysterious box. But it's description says you can get Urarium from it.
I have no idea what Urarium is nor what it is for yet.
Before I end this post, let me add a few other things. :3
In my last update, I posted about map bosses, like the Kamaram. It appears that every field map does have one. Currently, since I am at lvl 51, I would go to the Altoos Ravine map boss: Shaman of Destruction. In Theia server, they would do the rounds the opposite of Kamaram. In Kamaram, they'd go from Channel 5-1, so you'd end at Channel 1. But with the Shaman, they do it Channel 1-5, leaving you at Channel 5 if you choose to follow their wave. XD
Of course, you can go ahead to a different channel than them, but take note that these field bosses can damage you quite a lot. So solo-ing isn't do-able at early levels.
As usual, they drop equipment up to unique rarity. There is a corresponding map boss for each item lvl. Lvl 50 is at the Altoos.
These bosses appear every xx:00. In short, they appear hourly, so there's lots of chances to join in the action. Just prepare for the possible lag, especially if you've set your max users displayed to more than 50%. Mine is at 21%. :3
Another thing, if you've noticed, costumes also have stats, and they are randomly generated. So if you're crafting, you can keep crafting til you get a good number, like say, 2.4% status resistance for the craftable boots/shoes. Otherwise, for bought costumes, you can enchant them, but it may cost you a lot of illusion stones. It's probably worth it though.
Well, that's it for this update post!
It's a relatively new game, so we can expect updates like these every now and then. Really looking forward to them adding mounts, class evolutions and other stuff. And maybe even a marriage/couple system. :3
Anyway, thank you so much for tuning in!
Good day, Steemians! :3
