The Great Unknown

The pages of a book that seemed so ordinary
I had not imagined would hold secrets so extraordinary
Much like the journey in discovering the covers
Journey through the pages proved no less over the hours

Each leaf turned with a tremble
Unaware of walls that began to crumble
Captivated by this new essence I shook
Till I found myself mid-sentence, stuck!

The words spinning in a whirlpool
Drifting to lands unbeknownst
With the last flutter of an eye
I uttered the faintest whisper for "help"....
Entering realms beyond hither

Unconscious though it seemed
The awakening removed all screens
The world appeared with eyes never seen
Though that which was revealed
Threatened to remain unseen
