The topic is really a good one "sick leave " , mental leave and all other leaves, this is really good and very relevant to look into.
Before now in the working system so many leaves have been drafted out so some periods of time , and this leave helps people to put themselves together in some situations before resuming to work and facing the normal activities.
In all working systems it is organised like that . We have maternity leave for mothers who just put to bed for them to be able to put their body together before resuming work and during this period their mental health and other physiological processes that occur during that period to be able to be in place.
There's also sick leave
This type of leave is giving to people who are sick to be able to get their body together so as to be fit and also be able to do the work in future.
Giving leave to people is really good because it helps both the individual and the work itself.
It helps the person also to get his mental stability back which in return helps in improving the work force in the organisation.
To further this i will say that bringing in mental leave is not really necessary because all the already programmed leaves in different working systems is also indirectly to improve the works mental health before his or her resumption to duty in his or her work place.
Normally in work place apart from the leaves i have mentioned already there is still an annual leave giving to every staff and this leave is also for the staff to use and put his mental health together and also take care of himself.
This annual leave is open to all staffs though so organizations do place the duration of the leave according to ranking , where some go for months and some go for weeks but despite everything it is still organised in such a way that the individual have to utilise it and do the needful.
So with all thes already drafted leave most especially the annual leave that is for everyone i don't think it is necessary again to fix mental leave as a normal leave in the working system, meanwhile as a worker you can on your own request for a leave if you feel that your mental health is not real in a good condition and the leaves will be granted to you and you go and have your rest .
What am saying in essence is that all the leaves we have already is already enough for for one to use to take care of his mental stability rather than putting someone's business of any kind a shaking condition in the name of mental leave because if this mental leave should be granted mehhhn people will really abuse it , so is better to still use the already drafted leaves in which we know.
