Power is really sweet like anything one can think of and this is why everyone wishes to have one . Power comes with authority and command and no human being will be in a position where he gives command to others to follow and will not like it . Power has still caused a lot of mismanagement of leadership due to its authority and the power of power.
People have misused power due to the intoxication and other things that follow it . It is not really easy to handle power yeah some people outside power think that handling is just to get the position and give order but they never knew that many things follow power up . Authority is so sweet oo , i can remember when i was a head in one association like that it was not really easy but that ability to give order and people carries it out immediately gives one kind of feeling and respect.
Veto power is one type of power that has helped many organisations and in the same hand it has scattered some organisations.
Veto power gives people the power to make decisions and also change the decision of others and keeping to their own decisions.
Veto power is a very serious type of power that should not be allowed for a particular person to handle because if it should be handled by one person alone thing will go wrong or might still go right but when it enters the wrong hand thing will really go wrong.
The only time veto power is good is when the person that has the power has the capacity and capability to handle the power and control the audience but without that it will be so bad .
In my suggestion as the prompt directs i will say that veto power should be given to different categories where these categories will have their impact in the power , there each category will have their role to play and with this things will be handled well. What am i trying to say here ? What i am saying is that there should be divisions of this power and not bestowing it on one particular person. Just for example here in Nigeria where we have the legislative, executive and judiciary. These three bodies have their rules and their functions,each one has it's own power and impact to play.
Power intoxication is a disadvantage of power been handle by one person be you who so it is bad to allow one one person to handle veto power because it will affect many in one way or another. In such situations where one person controls the power (veto power) the power goes one sided and it favours only one particular people and these people it favours must also be ready to dance to the tune of the power holder.
Personally i hate Veto power so bad even if is my father that is the head authority. Imagine a power where someone will just wake one morning and change all the already planned bringing in his own decision to be the final.
