Gratitude
Gratitude is the ability to appreciate someone or somebody for what he or she has done for you
In the Igbo adage we say (ekele Dike na Nkem omere ya eme Ozi’s) meaning when you appreciate someone for what he or she /her has done it will make the person to do help you out next time
So many people have lost lots of opportunities because of their ingratitude towards people. We should always remember that nobody owes us anything, if people around you shows you kindness it’s because they choose to .
For instance two people asked for money from their friends and they were given but not the exact amount they asked for, the first person appreciated him though he was given the exact money he requested but he’s very happy and grateful while the other person is feeling angry and didn’t show any signs of gratitude because the exact amount he asked for was not given to him, next time when these people will ask for help from this same person who do you think the person will attend to?
To me it’s will be the first person that is very grateful 🥹
Gratitude does not take much from us we should all learn to be grateful. We need to stop feeling entitled to peoples things
Whenever people do things or render help to do whether strangers or not please appreciate them it’s goes a long way
I had an experience in my year one in school there’s was a period that I had nothing no provision no money so I told my roommate to please give me one milk and chocolate she gave me and I began thanking her and the next she said come and take my roll of milk I am have lactose intolerance I shock 🙃 what I am driving at it’s the power of gratitude , what gratitude can you
