My continuation of the blog yesterday which i am very happy to continue and contribute also in telling us more things about vaccines and immunization. Outbreak of disease has been one of the most difficult thing that keeps troubling different countries and the whole world at large from time to time and this has been a very big challenge to the medical practitioners, science and the whole world at large but with the implementation of vaccines,there is at least the a major control of some disease and it outbreak to a certain level. I will like to continue with hepatitis B vaccine, because yesterday i talked about bacillus calmette guerin (BCG) vaccine which is the vaccine used for the prevention of tuberculosis but today let's go over to hepatitis B vaccine. Hepatitis a vaccine is a vaccine that is use for the prevention of hepatitis virus because this hepatitis B virus is a deadly disease that have killed some people and this is why the vaccine was been implemented so that hepatitis B will be controlled and people will be save . This hepatitis B is a contagious disease that can be contacted through fluid, sexual intercourse and so many other things and it can not be cured in a way that it will leave the body totally no but rather it is been managed so this is to say it stays in the body for a life time but with proper medical management the carrier will still survive. The hepatitis B vaccine is given at birth (0-2 weeks of birth) this is according to world health organization standard .. And this vaccine is very safe and effective,it is recommended by the world health organization to all infant and it is very necessary because it keeps the infant safe and protect him from the hepatitis B virus .
I Know some people that have taken this vaccine before or some people that have taken their children to hospital or health centers for vaccine might have heard about the nurses saying HBV maybe when you asked about what was given to your child ,it is the HBV that is the hepatitis B vaccine that is the short name that is been used and it is very good that we know the vaccines that is given to us or our children it is very necessary,so you will be aware of what you or your child is been given.
