This has been going on forever in Krabi but I have noticed an uptick in the amount of Indian tourists as well as the number of Indian restaurants. I think one of hte complaints of the tour-people that you didn't mention is that the Indian tourists are known to employ Indian owned agencies and Indian owned businesses and not really branch out even a little bit from that. I could be wrong about that but that is the rumor anyway.
