NickPlaysCrypto for SPS Treasurer: 1m SPS Staked - spl since '20 - Land Maxi - PNS Mod - Love Splinterlands - Never sold a card
Hello Splinterlands Fam,
Kauffdiggity here, although most of you probably know me as NickPlaysCrypto. I have been an active Splinterlands collector/player since I first found out about it in 2020. Im 35 years old, I have 2 biological children and 3 step kids. My real life profession is a chiropractor. I have owned and operated my own small clinic for the past 5 years. I employ 11 people. I been in crypto since 2016.
If youre reading this unaware, the Splinterlands DAO is electing 11 treasurers that will sign off on a multisig wallet whenever the DAO needs to spend funds. I am running for one of those positions. Here are the expected functions from the original post (@sps.dao/sps-dao-treasury-upgrade):
- i already talk with Clayboyn and other splinterlands KOLs a fair bit and im on discord daily managing other things
- im very aware of anything DAO-proposal related, including drafts, and regularly discuss implications of such proposals with key Splinterlands people.
- I am available daily, can manage things from my phone as well.
- im a big proponent of security, i use both a ledger and a yubikey for 2fa.
Considerations when voting
Trustworthiness - Well, im verifiably a real person. Im also not someone who just picked up the game last month. Ive been around for 4 years now, I can truly say ive never once sold a splinterlands card or a single $SPS token 😅. I dont rely on crypto for income. I also pledge to act in accordance with the $SPS shareholder will, and to put it above any and all personal opinions or desires.
Communication - I will be reasonably available, and responsive. I already am with 5 kids and a full time career, i highly doubt anything will change that, especially with mobile.... i should be available reasonably quickly unless im asleep. As far as professionalism in communication style... kind of engrained in me at this point.

Technical Capability - While i have never participated in a multi-sig transaction, i can assure you after dabbling in this field for over 8 years.... from mining crypto at home to following guides on how to launch my own smart contract...... its not beyond my technical capabilities. I am also not a dev and have no formal training in computer programming.

Closing Thoughts
I want to see this game succeed, and i want to be a part of that process. Splinterlands to me is a diamond in the rough. I will do my best not just to honor the will of $SPS holders, but to be a good mediator between all sides of the debate. In closing, here is a video of me going over a few of these points before i actually wrote this... hopefully it helps you guys to get to know me a bit better. However this vote ends up, i plan on remaining an active member of the Splinterlands community for the long run.
