To me, the value of Bitcoin is made up of money from ICOs and HYIPs - it's where the pump and dump dollars go for a safe haven. Ditto, places like Dash. I like Doge because it's more like a true currency. I wouldn't cry if I had to spend it. Ether is just a tool. I use it to fund new businesses that capture the imagination, specifically, mine.
I thought I'd share this picture from a current Swiss ICO that I joined. Note, Bitcoin and fiat investors must have a minimum of $100k to join. Luckily, I'm an Ethereum pleb. I got in with a lot less.
