What if you could combine Airbnb, Uber and Airtasker all into one organisation and put it on the blockchain, managed by smart contracts, what would you call it?
An Australian start-up has done just that - and christened it CanYa. They have linked with Indorse so it is possible to vet the service you are interested in hiring or accessing. This start-up is already up and running, so their platform and website are proving themselves as a viable business in the gig economy, with an established four star rating. They are now launching their start-up via smart contracts on the blockchain through the CanYa ICO release.
I believe this company is about to go viral. I joined their ICO at the Dolphin tier, which finished today. The official ICO begins 26 November and runs till December 24, 2017, or earlier if the token sale target is reached prior, which may occur.
As a member of the CanYa Hodlers Club, I will earn rewards for Hodling, so that the company can roll out everything that it plans to do, without fear of the pump and dump syndrome that can plague new ICOs in the early months as it establishes its business goals post-launch.
This company is here for the long haul. You can read its white paper here:

The CanYa token is called "CAN". I hope they bring out a card, it has a certain ring to it, the CAN-card. I want one if they do. Besides fiat, payments for hire services are accepted in Ether/BTC/Dash/Monero, etc. Unlike booking with Airbnb, if you're a provider, you control the exchange via smart contracts enabled by the block chain accessed via CanYa's platform. You can also advertise your services by listing via the website service it provides. In the gig economy, this should really take off.
I've been observing the team's demeanour and responses to prospective token buyers via email, telegram and facebook, and they have been completely transparent. With the Hodlers' Club, you know they are going to be around for the long haul. This isn't an ICO that will disappear overnight with your hard-earned Ether.
It's a bit of a catch-22 at the moment. If I keep my Ether, will it be worth more than the CAN coin I get in return? That remains to be seen, I suppose. In life there are no guarantees. I'm happy to be a part of the beginnings of this start-up.
