Today is a very important day for all Venezuelans, as we are all united for a dream that we hope will come true very soon. Although it is not possible for me to go out to the streets to participate in the worldwide protest that is taking place for the defense of Venezuela's freedom, I have been very attentive to the networks following closely all the news.
I have seen with great joy that many countries are expressing their support to our cause, I take this opportunity to thank them for their blessings and good wishes.
However, being at home alone watching the nets causes me a bit of anxiety, so I resorted to my best therapy: knitting. Today I share with you the mini mat number 3 of this new project that is just starting. This time the pattern is from the Pinterest platform. It is a flower-shaped rug with a very particular graphic, but very simple, although it may not seem so at first glance.
The pattern consists of 7 rows in which basic stitches such as the stockinette and chain stitch are used to form simple fans in some of the rows. The part that can be a bit more complex is the final finishing and the border of the flower, since you have to knit over the fabric some chains with a different color to make the separation of the petals. However, I did it with a lot of patience and it was not as difficult as I thought.
I really loved this design, it can be made in a larger size to make a nice tablecloth for a round table. If we make it in a smaller size it can work perfect as a glass holder. I'd love to make a set of coasters in different colors, I think they would look great, so maybe I'll be up for it soon.
