Happy and blessed Monday afternoon my dear friends and colleagues of NeedleWorkMonday it is a nice pleasure to meet again on our Needle Monday. Today I bring you a very simple project that I made over the weekend to give as a gift to one of my friends with whom I will be meeting soon.
Next week I have an outing with some friends and I would like to bring a little something for each of them, that's why I thought of making some woven keychains in different designs. The first one I managed to knit this weekend is this pretty cactus with a little yellow flower. This cactus is for my friend who grows cacti and succulents. I thought of choosing a different design for each one, trying to reflect her tastes and hobbies.
I have knitted this style of keychain before, but with other designs, usually flowers. I like it because the key can be hidden and taken out when it is to be used. The base of the keychain is like a kind of inverted sachet, to achieve a particular design simply add additional parts such as ears, eyes, flowers, etc, depending on the design.
I have not yet chosen the pattern for the rest of the keychains I plan to knit for my friends, but I think I will follow this style in most cases, as it is very simple and can be knitted quickly.
