Nothin’s gonna fill this empty,
Only thing I can do is give.
String some notes together,
This is the way I live.

Spread myself out into nothing,
Just a speck in space,
Stardust seeking company,
Music gives me grace.

Seek, go seek the essence,
Retreat, go deep inside.
Ain’t no one gonna stop the lonely,
Girl, this is a solo ride.

Sing like light shimmering,
On shards of broken hope,
A mosaic, jagged, uneven,
Obscured in a haze of smoke.

Pour myself out again,
For the sake of no one but me.
At least I understand myself,
Trekking through the empty.
