Aunque, Doña Claudina, no usa esa indumentaria.
-Fantástico, vamos a prepararla, comenta Carlitos.

I invite to participate:
The children of the Harmony community always go out, with their bicycles, to compete with each other, especially when it rains. They love the feeling of braking, with their rubber shoes, in the puddles of water. It thrills them to see how the impeccable shoes get dirty.....
One Sunday afternoon they went out. They had already been out of the house for an hour. Grandmother Claudina grumbles and immediately calls her grandson and orders:
-Carlitos, that's enough walking for today. You have to do your homework for your drawing class.
Carlitos says goodbye to the rest of the team and tells them:
-It's supposed to rain tomorrow. We'll go out after we finish our homework. That way our grandmothers will be calm.
Carlitos enters the house. Mrs. Claudina had everything ready: the delicious chocolate cake that her grandson likes and, also, the brushes, white sheets and the watercolor. Everything was laid out on the mahogany desk, made by her husband Evaristo.
Carlitos enters the house happy. He kisses his grandmother. When he sees everything, he says to her:
-Thank you very much grandma for spoiling me.
-After eating the cake, brush your teeth, replies Claudina.
Carlitos ran quickly. He had ideas that he wanted to put down on paper quickly. That month the best drawings would be selected for the state competition. The winners would receive scholarships to further their studies in drawing. A ray of light shone on him ..... He decided to paint his grandmother in a bicycle competition. First he sketched, he would paint his grandmother with pants and rubber shoes. Although, Mrs. Claudina doesn't wear those clothes. She is a flirtatious lady, she likes to adorn herself with her high heels, custom-made dress and leather handbag. The one she brought back from her trip to Argentina. Anyway, Carlitos put his imagination to work.
When he finished the drawing, he called his friends. They gathered in the living room. They all commented on the drawings. Hearing the commotion, Claudina discreetly peeked into the living room. She was happy to see and hear what her grandson was saying. But he would have a bigger surprise for her....
Eduardo, the formal of the group, commented:
-What if we have a bicycle competition with the grandmothers?
-Fantastic, let's prepare it, said Carlitos.
The children decided to have a formal competition. They asked Eduardo's father, José, for help. Mr. José would be in charge of the whole event and of convincing the grandmothers.
The long-awaited day of the competition arrived. Everyone was on their marks. The grandmothers competed as a team with their grandchildren. They would win if both, grandmother and grandson, came in first. To everyone's surprise Claudina came in first, followed by her grandson. The applause was not long in coming. The sponsor of the contest announces that Carlitos won the scholarship to continue his painting studies. But there was an unexpected surprise..... The emotion was greater when they gave the prize to Mrs. Claudina:
-And for you a check to have a custom-made suit made by the famous designer Leonora Sandoval.
Due to the success of the contest, pedaling with the grandmothers, they decided that the contest would be held annually.
