LOOK now at Cain and Abel. Both have grown. Cain has become a farmer. He deals in the cultivation of grains and fruits and vegetables.
Abel raises sheep. He likes to care for the lambs. These grow and become large sheep, and soon Abel has a whole flock of sheep to tend it.
It's not just that Abel's gift is better than Cain's. It's because Abel is good. Love Jehovah and his brother. But Cain is bad; He does not love his brother.
Although Abel died, God still remembers him. Abel was good, and Jehovah never forgets people who are like that. That is why one day Jehovah God will make Abel come back to life. In that time Abel will never have to die. You can live forever here on Earth. Is not it good to meet people like him?
But God does not like people like Cain. That is why, after Cain killed his brother, God punished him by sending him away from the rest of his family. When Cain left to live in another part of the Earth, he took one of his sisters with him, and she became his wife.
With time Cain and his wife began to have children. Other sons and daughters of Adam and Eve married and also had children. Soon there were many people on Earth.
