For some time now I have wanted to make a cat house out of a box and a t-shirt. I noticed that cats like being in a carrier very much. I put a blanket there and they sleep in it very often, although they have a lot of other places to choose from. Cats like small spaces, they squeeze into cardboard boxes, bowls, etc. I wanted to make them another place where they could hide and feel safe.
Już od jakiegoś czasu chciałam zrobić domek dla kotów z pudełka i t-shirtu. Zauważyłam, że koty bardzo lubią przebywać w transporterze. Włożyłam tam kocyk i bardzo często w nim śpią, choć mają do wyboru mnóstwo innych miejscówek. Koty lubią małe przestrzenie, wciskają się w kartonowe pudła, miski itd. Chciałam zrobić im kolejne miejsce, w którym będą mogły się schować i poczuć bezpiecznie.
Some time ago I saw an article where someone was making such a cat house - in a box and with a t-shirt and this idea was more and more on my mind, but either I didn't have the right size of the box or I didn't know which t-shirt to use. Finally, my boyfriend came to the rescue.
Jakiś czas temu zobaczyłam artykuł, w którym ktoś robił taki domek dla kota - w pudełku i z t-shirta i ten pomysł coraz bardziej chodził mi po głowie, ale albo nie miałam odpowiedniej wielkości pudełka, albo nie wiedziałam, który t-shirt użyć. W końcu mój chłopak przyszedł z odsieczą.
My boyfriend gave me four T-shirts that he no longer wears and said I could choose which he wanted and use them to make a cat box and to be put inside. I chose a black one with white and gray dots. The T-shirt is a bit like the Milky Way, the cosmos. Due to the fact that it is not motley, it blends in nicely with the surroundings and I think cats will gladly accept it. And you, which of the four shirts in the photo below would you choose? ;)
Chłopak dał mi cztery koszulki, których już nie nosi i powiedział, że mogę wybrać, które chce i użyć je do robienia pudełka dla kota i wyściełania jego wnętrza. Zdecydowałam się na czarną w biało-szare kropki. Koszulka przypomina trochę drogę mleczną, kosmos. Dzięki temu, że nie jest pstrokata fajnie komponuje się z otoczeniem i wydaje mi się, że koty chętnie ją zaakceptują. A wy, którą koszulkę z tych czterech na zdjęciu poniżej byście wybrali? ;)
How to make such a cat house? Just put the T-shirt on the box so that the neck opening is where the cats are supposed to enter. The sleeves can be sewn on the side and the t-shirt can be tied with a knot at the end, or sewn together.
Jak zrobić taki koci domek? Wystarczy nałożyć koszulkę na pudełko, tak, żeby otwór na szyję znajdował się tam, gdzie koty mają wchodzić. Rękawy można przyszyć z boku, a na końcu zawiązać t-shirt na supeł albo też zszyć.
It is worth putting something soft inside, it could be, for example, a small blanket.
Warto włożyć do środka coś miękkiego, to może być np. mały kocyk.
And now the main thing! Will the cats like it?!!
A teraz najważniejsze! Czy kotom się spodoba?!!
Whew ... they go inside, smell new territory ... and most importantly ... spend a long time inside! ;)
Uff... wchodzą do środka, wąchają nowe terytorium... a co najważniejsze... spędzają dłuższy czas w środku! ;)
Fortunately, both cats became interested in the new cat home. We'll see if it is as much as the transporter ...;) I have to sew the sides together and it will be great.
Na szczęście oba koty zainteresowały się nowym legowiskiem. Zobaczymy, czy tak bardzo jak transporterem... ;) Musze jeszcze pozszywać boki i będzie super.
