Last summer we tried to grow some watermelon and .. well it didn't go very well. We picked it wayyy too early and it was not even a little bit sweet!
So we tried again this year!
We let this one grow and grow and finally had to pick it because some animal was trying to eat at it!
So we brought it inside. Cut it open and MY OH MY! This lovely one was so juicy and perfectly sweet!!!
Even little buddy had his share!
I think that is my favorite part of gardening- it really is a family thing. My son helps us pick.. and eat.. what we grow! I love that he is growing up learning where food comes from and to appreciate the food that we grow!
