I found another happy place, not far away from my favorite place 😊
A place that has some of the most beautiful winter wild flowers of the island, and hopefully there will soon be more of them!
I remembered this place from last year, and I went again today only for 5 minutes
I saw these beauties… and I could not resist
White ones (this with a tired bee inside)
Purple ones
And only one pink!
When I revisit I hope to see more colors and more of them pretty flowers!

Their name is taken after the wind (anemos in Greek) as the ancient Greeks believed that the wind made them bloom. The Cretans most of the time call them poppies, however poppies belong to the species Papaver rhoeas L. The anemones of Crete plants are poisonous but are very beautiful flowers.
