Kate Black is my pen name here - Kate, a version of my first name, and black - my favorite non color. I am a single mom - aged 40.
I have a beautiful daughter, 9 years old. She's quite an artist - she has a talent and passion for music - she plays the flute; next year - when she's grown enough to handle an instrument of that size - she'll take guitar lessons. She is also gifted at drawing, painting and coloring in an unique, unconventional way. There she is, out in the park, practicing her knitting :)
...Along the years I've been a receptionist; an assistant manager; I've worked in administration; I've been a translator.
For the past few years I've been a content writer and I feel I've finally found what I was meant to do, professionally speaking.
I've been doing yoga for the past 21 years. Not the fitness variety yoga, the other stuff, the one that gets you break all barriers and helps you discover you actually are an infinity hidden within a human body.
I am a non conformist. I've learnt to look at the world with new eyes most of the time - experiences and humor pop up in the most unexpected moments. I like that a lot, it brings a lot of positivity in my life.
I love books and classic movies; my taste in music is rather eclectic.
I'm not very good at describing myself mainly because, whenever I look within me, I see endless choices, an ocean of possibilities.
Here's a recent picture of me:
I've been through a lot of experiences - plenty good, a lot bad - all of them helping me get an in-depth understanding of the human nature.
I want to share some of my stories with you people - sometimes to make a point, sometimes to make you laugh - or simply to express myself.
I love words and I understand their power. I do my best to use them wisely - to express myself clearly. I have friends and relatives who throw phrases out of their mouths anyway they come, then they expect to be understood despite their word choice - not an easy thing to do, all the time. And when I ask them to pay attention to what they say, to be more specific or more precise, they get mad at me. I am to blame because I put them to work. Funny, that.
Well, enough said for now. More to come, soon enough :D
P.S.: I've been asked to post a snapshot of me holding a steemit sign, to confirm my identity. Here comes:
