My Weekend Experience: Research, Corrections, and a Creative Break
This past weekend was one of those deeply engaging yet exhausting ones. I spent almost the entire time online, fully immersed in research for my project work. My laptop became my closest companion as I worked through various scholarly articles and data, trying to sharpen the content of my Chapter Four.
My supervisor also reviewed my progress and made several important corrections. It wasn't easy, but it was a productive moment that brought clarity and direction to the next phase of my academic journey.
At the same time, I was multitasking, working on a new design concept for our next fellowship program. I had to balance between academic focus and creative expression, switching tabs from Microsoft Word to Canva, and from Google Scholar to design tools.
The long screen hours started to take a toll on me. I could see the blue rays from the screen reflecting on my face, a small but real reminder of how deeply involved I was. To switch things up a bit and treat myself, I visited a studio for a photo shoot. It was refreshing to step away from the digital world, even if briefly. I plan to upload some of those shots soon.
Overall, the weekend may not have been filled with outings or loud moments, but it was meaningful. It reminded me that growth often happens quietly, in the hours we put in behind the scenes.
