Hello, my dear friends! We are officially in October—the most mysterious and fun month of the year and, of course, the month of Halloween parties! This season always fills me with a magical, creative energy, so I couldn't resist getting excited about creating a digital illustration of this cute little ghost I’m sharing with you today.
For this illustration, I wanted to steer clear of the scary side of things and focus on a cute style filled with vibrant yet friendly colors. I used my graphics tablet and experimented quite a bit with digital light and shadow to give it a floating look and a ghostly glow that stands out against the dark background. It took me a couple of hours to perfect its facial expression, but I’m super happy with the final result.
I love digital art because it gives me the freedom to play with endless layers and textured brushes until I achieve exactly what I envision. This cute character is just the start of a series of themed drawings I plan to create throughout the month to celebrate Halloween.
What do you think of the result? I’d love to know if it gives off that festive vibe. Let me know in the comments which other Halloween characters you’d like me to draw in the coming days. I look forward to reading your suggestions!
