Today I want introduce a snack dishes very cheap and tasty for you when you travel to Dalat.
How it make
It's a favorite dish quite famous of most Dalat people, a dish made from green papaya scraper into yarns, fried liver, aromatic vegetables mixed with sweet fish sauce.
I don't know detail the recipes of dishes, especially sweet fish sauce but depending on the taste of each person, you can add chilli a little, not or much of chilli, but in Dalat famous with cold weather so almost add much chilli help you feel warm.
Where you can find it
You easy find this dish around Xuan Huong lake or park, You also can eat Xap Xap at small snack house but I remember that when I was young, Xap Xap only sell by hawkers around the school.
The hawker prepare a bike or a motorbike, in the back the bring a box with full of material to make Xap Xap, go around Dalat to find a place to sell.

The Price so cheap, about 0.7$ for one person, if you want eat special diet, only 1$ for it, add much more fried liver. I often eat special diet because fried liver so taste.
A part of the childhood
Sometime, I remember when I was in junior high school, In the end of class I often eat Xap Xap in the front of school gate, the price at this time only 2000 VND/ diet, very very cheap but I truly love this taste. Look the hawkers make me remember about this time too much.

How the way you can eat Xap Xap
Because you eat Xap Xap around Xuan Huong lake and part so they put the chair to you sit and eat Xap Xap, look not beautiful a little bit but you can talking with friend while eating.
Each time I go back to Dalat, I often go to eat Xap Xap but most of I buy and eat at home. Go to Dalat, don't forget try to eat Xap Xap.
