I celebrated Lunar New Years in Korea this year with @acromott and
@threebagsfull. Traditionally, I spend it with my family
@polebird. Lunar New Years is also known as Chinese New Years. The new year is based on the lunar and solar calendar, which is why New Years is celebrated in February instead of January 1st.
2018 is the year of the dog. During the New Years, you will often see people decorate their house in red and wear red clothing. The Chinese believe that red is a lucky color and will bring prosperity and good fortune to you.
In celebration of Chinese New Years, we decided to light fireworks off at the beach in Busan. Of course, @acromott
@threebagsfull and I are a bit naughty, so we did some silly things with our fireworks... like try to get
@threebagsfull with the fireworks... haha!
I had a ton of fun setting off fireworks with the boys! What a great way to start of the New Years! Cheers to 2018! I can't wait to see what 2018 has installed for us.
Enjoy the funny @dtube video!
love,
Karen
