I am notorious for being late! Somehow 5 minutes turns into an hour and next thing I know, I’m late to my next event. Well, I’m sick of being late and missing out on all the fun! Here are 5 methods I use to help keep me from constantly running late.
#1. Prioritize timeliness
Making being on time a priority. When you place emphasis on a subject matter, it will more likely happen.
#2. Lie to yourself
If you are habitually an hour late, when you make plans with others, pretend the meet up time is an hour before the real meetup. This will give you time to continue with your usual routine and make it on time!
#3. Think about others
Time is precious, not just to you, but to whoever you are meeting up. Be respectful of another person’s time by showing up!
#4. Prepare
Sometimes I’m late because I’m not prepared. If you know that you are going to be meeting someone and you need x,y and z, don’t wait last minute to grab everything. If you have everything ready, you won’t have to panic when you can’t find it.
#5. Plan for the worst
Are you tired of missing a flight because of traffic? I am! LOL Traffic can totally prevent you from being on time. You should allocate time for hiccups during your trip to your destination.
love,
Karen
