When this event occurred, it felt great that some of the Hive family were sharing my happiness and at the same time supporting against femicides.
Hace un tiempo yo hice una oficina de Graffiti donde mi foco fue darle homenaje a Julieta Hernández una venezolana que viajaba en su bicicleta por muchos lugares de Brasil e incluso vino desde Venezuela y llegó hasta la patagonia en Argentina pedaleando, ella era una gran artista, hacía teatro y era una payasa muy divertida, se ganó un montón de corazones y toneladas de sonrisas. Hasta que un día el feminicidio apagó su brillo.
Yo resolví dejar plasmado un Graffiti en la Ciudad de Manaus - Amazonas e incluso por conspiraciones del universo tuve una exposición en una galería importante en la misma ciudad, el cual mi homenaje hacia la bella julieta continuó, la exposición fue desde el 2 de marzo, hasta el mes de junio.
A while ago I made a Graffiti office where my focus was to pay tribute to Julieta Hernandez, a Venezuelan who traveled on her bicycle through many places in Brazil and even came from Venezuela and reached Patagonia in Argentina pedaling, she was a great artist, she did theater and was a very funny clown, she won a lot of hearts and tons of smiles. Until one day the femicide extinguished her shine.
I decided to leave a Graffiti in the City of Manaus - Amazonas and even by conspiracies of the universe I had an exhibition in an important gallery in the same city, which my tribute to the beautiful Julieta continued, the exhibition was from March 2nd until the month of June.

Mi experiencia pintando la tela
Tengo que confesar que estos han sido sueños realizados, a veces no nos creemos capaces de hacer cosas, pero les recomiendo usar su intuición, sus ganas, su empeño y dejar ese miedo que muchas veces nos limitan hacer cosas, por un momento pensé en desistir de querer hacer este taller, pero algo me dijo, todo el mundo puede, así que intentalo, incluso si no sepas hacerlo, ya con la práctica aprenderás.
Así que, me lo propuse, y lo hice, no me lo van a creer, pero incluso le pedí a Julieta que me ayudara a darle voz y que lamentaba mucho por todas esas cosas que pasó, hice ese graffiti y ese cuadro con amor, pensando en su esencia de mujer luchadora y empoderada.
I have to confess that these have been dreams come true, sometimes we don't believe we are capable of doing things, but I recommend using your intuition, your desire, your determination and letting go of that fear that often limits us from doing things, for a moment I thought about giving up on wanting to do this workshop, but something told me, everyone can do it, so try it, even if you don't know how to do it, with practice you will learn.
So, I decided to do it, and I did it, you won't believe me, but I even asked Julieta to help me give her a voice and that I was very sorry for all those things that happened to her, I made that graffiti and that painting with love, thinking about her essence as a fighter and empowered woman.
El día 06 de junio me llamó uno de los profesores del taller invitándome a una ceremonia en honor a Julieta, donde se presentaría la hermana (Sophia Hernández), También mujeres que forman parte de órganos en defensa de la mujer como son:

Cida Ariporia (representante de rap femenino que retracta la lucha por las mujeres)
Union Brasileira de Mujeres (Vanja Andréa)
Consejo Estadual de los derechos de las Mujeres (Dora Brasil)
Secretaria Nacional de Enfrentamiento de Violencia Contra Mujeres del ministerio de las Mujeres (Denise Motta Dau)
On June 6, one of the workshop teachers called me inviting me to a ceremony in honor of Julieta, where her sister (Sophia Hernández) would be present. There were also women who are part of organizations that defend women, such as:

National Secretary for Confronting Violence Against Women of the Ministry of Women (Denise Motta Dau)
El profesor Astro también consejero de las artes visuales de la ciudad, me preguntó si yo podía donar el cuadro a la hermana de Julieta Hernández que iba a estar de visita en Manaus el día 11 de junio, para mí fue una alegría muy grande y a pesar de que ya me había mudado de ciudad, le autoricé a entregar la tela, me pidió un vídeo dedicando unas palabras.
Realmente me sentí orgullosa de haberme atrevido hacer ese homenaje, que no fue la cosa más perfecta del mundo, pero les garantizo que al terminarlo me dio mucho sentimiento y se lo dediqué a la memoria de Julieta.
Professor Astro, who is also the city's visual arts advisor, asked me if I could donate the painting to Julieta Hernández's sister, who was going to visit Manaus on June 11. It was a great joy for me, and even though I had already moved out of the city, I authorized her to give the canvas. She asked me for a video dedicating a few words.
I really felt proud of having dared to do that tribute, which was not the most perfect thing in the world, but I assure you that when I finished it, it gave me a lot of feeling and I dedicated it to Julieta's memory.
El 11 de Junio fue el evento y el mismo día me mandaron fotos y videos, me dieron autorización para usar mi video y yo pedí autorización de ellos para poder hacer este post con su contenido, no sabía como sentirme, si feliz o triste hahaha hasta lloré con esas dos emociones mezcladas.
Al pasar el tiempo recibí un mensaje de su hermana agradeciendo y fue muy bonito de verdad.
The event was on June 11th and the same day they sent me photos and videos, they gave me permission to use my video and I asked for permission to make this post with its content. I didn't know how to feel, happy or sad hahaha I even cried with those two emotions mixed together.
As time went by I received a message from her sister thanking her and it was really nice.
Por favor, no crean cuando una persona te diga que hacer dibujos en paredes o hacer cuadros o cualquier arte es pérdida de tiempo, explorar lo que no sabemos es muy satisfactorio y más cuando se es valorado, recibí mucha crítica y risas pero también felicitaciones sinceras, dentro de mí sabía que estaba haciendo lo correcto y eso e lo único que nos debe importar, haz lo que quieras y cuando quieras, no olvides tener conciencia y preguntarte que si lo que estás haciendo te va a atraer cosas positivas y sumar a tu bien mayor.
Please don't believe when someone tells you that drawing on walls or making pictures or any art is a waste of time, exploring what we don't know is very satisfying and even more so when it is appreciated, I received a lot of criticism and laughter but also sincere congratulations, deep down I knew I was doing the right thing and that is the only thing that should matter to us, do what you want and when you want, don't forget to be aware and ask yourself if what you are doing is going to attract positive things and add to your greater good.
